3 nights at Xigera in the Okavango Delta
On arrival into Botswana, you’ll enjoy a scenic flight from Maun International Airport directly to Xigera Safari Lodge’s private airstrip. Enjoy a leisurely game drive into camp, where the welcoming staff of Xigera await you with a refreshing drink or two. It’s time to relax and unwind, and take in the slow pace of the Okavango Delta – Botswana’s incredible inland wilderness.
Over the next few days, you really can choose your own itinerary: enjoy early morning game drives, camera in hand, or head out on a guided walk with your private ranger. Return for a hearty breakfast and perhaps join the scheduled yoga session on the deck while the sun grows higher in the sky or escape for a pampering spa treatment in the pavilion or in the privacy of your luxury air-conditioned suite. Head out on an afternoon mokoro excursion, as your poler points out birds and insects and keeps an eye out for an elephant or hippo who may be resting on the banks. Afternoon game drives in the Delta are a true highlight, as the sky grows pink, orange and red when the sun dips below the horizon. Enjoy evenings in the stylish dining room, with fine cuisine complemented by award-winning local and international wines.
