Cape Town is truly one of those ‘have-it-all’ cities. You are surrounded by beautiful mountains, beaches, vineyards, and historical landmarks. Our guests spend a minimum of three to four days exploring South Africa’s Mother City, enjoying its lists of unique experiences, while being immersed in its natural beauty.

Whether you are looking for that action-packed family holiday or an fun-filled honeymoon, it can be difficult to pick the right experience. Luckily, I have put together my top five unique experiences for every traveller.

1. Norval Foundation & Sculpture Gardens

The Norval Foundation, found in Constantia, is a centre for art and cultural expression. This beautiful Museum dedicates all its research and exhibition of 20th- and 21st-century visual art from South Africa and beyond. The Sculpture Garden at the Norval Foundation features three-dimensional installations by South African artists. This unique spot is set in a freshwater wetland and is surrounded in by a mountain range with Cape’s fauna and flora.

2. Sidecars around the Peninsula

Get ready to enjoy the Cape Peninsula in a vintage sidecar! Relax, sit in your side car and be chauffeur driven! Start from the city centre, around the Atlantic Seaboard enjoying spectacular coastal scenery, head over the magnificent Chapman’s Peak Drive towards Simon’s Town via Noordhoek, Oceanview and the beautiful seaside community of Scarborough. This is an extremely exciting way to see what the Peninsula looks like. Comfort breaks and lunch will be arranged along the way. If you love dogs, you can enjoy your ride with Brody.

3. Heli flip over Table Mountain

What better way to see Table Mountain but from the air! Fly with one of Waterfront Helicopter Tours, from the Cape Town V&A Waterfront over the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay to our breath-taking Table Mountain, bringing you home over the Cape Town City Bowl and finally back to the Cape Town V&A Waterfront. Very romantic, for honeymooners too!

4. Catamaran Sunset trip

Sail in one of the largest sailing catamarans at the V&A Waterfront. This incredible adventure takes you through the Waterfront and along the coastline giving you amazing views of Table Bay, Mouille Point and Camps Bay. The best trip is the sunset cruise for 90 minutes with a glass of sparkling wine.  Watching Cape Town from the shore is special and is the best vantage point for Instagram photographs.  This cruise provides you with best view of the marine life including whales and dolphins in season.  Adding a stopover at the well-renowned Clifton beach for a private charter in the hot summer is also an essential addition to any family vacation when visiting Cape Town.

5. Old Biscuit Mill Market

This a vibrant community in the heart of Woodstock, situated just 15 mins away from Cape Town City Centre. Here you will find talented South Africans that share, collaborate, and show off their passions. The Old Biscuit Mill is the base to a range of zany workshops, designer stores, decadent restaurants, food stalls as well as an exciting line-up of day and night-markets and festivals. This local is lekker market must be explored for a morning for a brunch and shop. At the Old Biscuit Mill you will meet South Africa’s most innovative and imaginative designers, artists, photographers, and enthusiasts of fine taste and décor

When you book your Cape Town vacation, let us make sure you get all the absolute best experiences, ticking off your bucket list in and about our beautiful City.
