From there, you’ll head into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a natural caldera that teems with life. Enjoy a full day safari plus nature walk in the crater, before heading into the southern Serengeti for a 3-day safari in the Ndutu region, well known for its superb location during the December – March migration season.

2 nights in Tarangire National Park
You will spend your next two days exploring the spectacular Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is slightly off the main safari circuit and thus provides a wonderful, uncrowded experience. It is also one of the most scenic parks in Northern Tanzania, with diverse landscapes including African savannah, open woodlands, grassy green hills and rivers.
Tarangire is well known for its high density of elephants, striking baobab trees and tree-climbing lions – a particularly unusual sight in most parks! Your lodge is situated high up on the escarpment with exceptional views of the valley and perennial Tarangire River below.
Delicious safari-style meals can be enjoyed in both indoor and outdoor dining areas, while the elevated main lodge’s large lounge and bar make for a relaxed setting for an evening cocktail.

From Tarangire, you’ll depart via small aircraft from Ndutu into the Serengeti region to Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest natural calderas in the world, and it is rich in animal and birdlife; indeed, it provides one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa.
Enjoy one full day crater tour as well as a guided nature walk, taking in the flamingo-filled salt lakes, lazy rhino at the edges, large tusked elephants and rangy lions looking for their next meal. As Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is situated close to the eastern access road, Lemala guests enjoy an hour’s head start over others on the crater floor.
Guests gather in the early evening around the campfire to exchange tales of the day’s safari and to enjoy a sunset drink. This is followed by a classic hearty safari-style meal in the main dining area.
