1 night in Dar es Salaam
Today you’ll arrive in Tanzania via a long-haul flight and be met and transferred to the Oyster Bay Hotel, situated in the ambassador residential area of Dar Es Salaam. This welcoming and intimate hotel is the perfect start to your stay, and the ideal place for a night or two before heading out on safari.

6 nights in Ruaha National Park
Today you’ll enjoy a chartered scheduled flight from Dar Es Salaam to Ruaha National Park, considered one of Tanzania’s best-kept safari secrets. This spectacular park is perfect for that authentic fly-in safari, and is known for its high concentration of lion, leopard sightings, and large herds of elephant and buffalo. Ruaha is also a welcome destination for birders, with 570 different species found here. You can also spot the rare roan and sable antelopes, bat eared foxes, greater and lesser kudu, as well as giraffe.
Spend the next 6 nights at Jabali Ridge Camp, one of the most luxurious in the park. Apart from lounging around at camp, relaxing by the pool and enjoying delicious meals, you can explore Ruaha on game drives and night drives (not offered in any other national park in Tanzania) and guided walks. The 6-seater game-viewing vehicles are open-sided a canvas roof and have power points to charge your device, plus are fitted with fridges to keep the drinks chilled! Want even more privacy? A private game-viewing vehicle can be booked by prior arrangement.
A walking safari at Jabali offers a more intimate way of experiencing the bush, and you’ll enjoy this with an experienced guided and local tracker. Let your senses come alive as the sights, sounds and smells of the bush make themselves known. Be on the lookout for the endangered wild dog, as well as spotted hyena, both of which are found here.
