Next up is Franschhoek (French Corner). Discover why this historical town is considered the culinary capital of South Africa. Indulge in wine pairings, chocolate tastings, farm-to-table dining and some of the country’s most celebrated dishes – all in the heart of the picturesque Cape Winelands.

For dessert, we take you to the 5-star Madikwe Safari Lodge in South Africa’s North West Province to explore the African wilderness and conclude your gastronomy safari with a classic Big Five adventure.

Your Itinerary

4 nights in Cape Town

Your love affair with Cape Town and its celebrated food kicks off from your accommodation at More Quarters. After a sumptuous breakfast featuring bread and confectionary, the city’s restaurants, markets and interactive cooking experiences are yours to explore.

A private tasting at Truth Coffee will give you insights into the origins of the world’s best coffees; similarly, a private tasting at Woodstock Gin will reveal the surprising infusions of different types of gin. Dinner at the Pot Luck Club promises an unforgettable experience. Dubbed the coolest place to be in Cape Town, you’ll dine on innovative cuisine conceptualised by the famous Chef Luke Dale Roberts.

In between all your wining and dining, Cape Town will also serve up some unmissable experiences: ride the cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, meet the resident penguin colony at Boulders Beach in Simonstown, and explore the V&A Waterfront.

Your gastronomy safari continues to the heart of South Africa’s culinary scene: Franschhoek. In true Cape Winelands style, this leg of your journey begins with a wine tasting at Waterkloof Wines followed by a chocolate and wine pairing at Waterford Estate.

Lunch on three courses of gourmet cuisine created by Chef Guy Bennet at Grande Provence, followed by dinner at La Petite Colombe. One of the highlights of the Winelands is Babylonstoren, home to famous gardens and celebrated restaurant, Babel.

Here you’ll enjoy a garden and wine tour followed by lunch before heading to Pierneef La Motte for a wine tasting and dinner at Le Coin Francais.
