You’ll also have an opportunity to discover the hidden gems on a walking tour of the city or vintage sidecar trip along world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.
Cape Town is a great family destination. From hiking Lion’s Head to visiting the Two Oceans Aquarium; and meeting the resident penguin colony in Simonstown to exploring Cape Point, the Mother City offers up all manner of activities to keep everybody in the family smiling.
Tuck into ocean-fresh seafood at Harbour House in Kalk Bay while enjoying up-close sea views.

1 night in Outshoorn
Arrive in Outshoorn, based in the Klein Karoo and part of the greater Garden Route region. Head out to the famous Cango Caves for a heritage tour. You’ll know the experience is pretty special when you catch your first glimpse of Van Zyl’s hall, where ancient stalactites, aptly known as the dried tobacco leaves of Oudtshoorn, festoon the grey-blue of the limestone ceiling.
The tour continues to take you through breathtaking caverns and chambers, before you exit into the outdoors, ready for lunch at your next stop: a working ostrich farm.
Oudtshoorn is fast gaining a reputation as a foodie destination, serving up local delicacies such as olives and ostrich in unique settings.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Enjoy tranquil views of the Swartberg Mountain from the carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852) and its lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name. There are several luxury lounges with fireplaces where you can relax and admire works from well-known South African artists. In summer, cool down in the pool or take tea in the manicured gardens.
