Your Itinerary

2 nights in Lake Naivasha

Starting this Kenyan safari, you will spend two full days exploring the north-western shores and discovering the spectacular views of Lake Naivasha. This incredible lake has many different types of wildlife with a sizable hippo population, as well as crayfish, tilapia and black bass. There are 400 species of birds to be spotted, including great cormorants, fish eagles, pelicans and a variety of beautiful kingfishers.

You will also get to experience Crescent Island, located on Lake Naivasha. Said to be one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya, Crescent Island is often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. Spend time relaxing among her of wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra and gazelle, and then head out on a day trip to the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park, which is world-famous for its prolific flocks of colourful flamingos.

Loldia House

Loldia House is situated on a large conservancy on the spectacular shores of Lake Naivasha, and which reaches as far as the indigenous Eburru Forest. Enjoy the tranquil ambiance of this farm-style homestead, where the resident wildlife graze the lawns and lush gardens create a peaceful place to unwind. The luxury en-suite cottages are stylish yet traditional, and all enjoy beautiful views of the lake beyond. 

3 nights in Mugie Conservancy

Today you’ll arrive in the beautiful 50,000 acre Mugie Conservancy, which is situated in the Laikipia Region. As a significant wildlife access route between Laikipia and the northern Samburu lands, this picturesque landscape is filled with savannah, scrubland and olive forests, which is home to a multitude of big game, plus endemic Kenyan species, such as Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest and the unique reticulated giraffe.

You’ll enjoy a few days at charming Mugie House, which offers a variety of activities and experiences. Enjoy morning and evening game drives, guided walks, sunset drinks around Mugie Dam, meeting the anti-poaching unit and even meet Tala the reticulated giraffe, who was bought to the conservancy at just a few days old by a local goat herder, and who remains a wonderful character at Mugie.

Mugie House

Mugie House is situated on the hillside in Laikipia’s Mugie Conservancy, and enjoys beautiful views of the unique landscape. The main house serves as a relaxed communal area for guests, while the eight stone cottages offer a private sanctuary. Each cottage has its own fireplace and luxurious en-suites, with lovely views over the colourful garden. 

3 nights in the Masai Mara

Today you’ll enjoy a scenic flight into the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most well-known wildlife paradise. You’ll arrive at Governors Camp, tucked away on the forested banks of the Mara River. Located in the pristine spot of wilderness which is home to an incredible array of wildlife. This camp is located right in the heart of the best game viewing area of the Masai Mara. The entire camp is under canvas with all the comforts of a luxury hotel.

Today you’ll fly into the incredible Masai Mara National Reserve, known as the home of the annual Wildebeest Migration, and the scene for some truly spectacular year-round game viewing. Governor’s Camp – your accommodation for the next few days – was one of the first camps in the Mara, and as such, enjoys a prime location close to key migration areas.

Spend the next few days out on early morning and late afternoon game drives, enjoying guided walks, perhaps a special hot air balloon safari, a cultural visit to the local Maasai village, or even some time spent at the Mara-Meru Cheetah Project.

Enjoy a luxury packed picnic while on safari, then relax around the fire in the dining tent in the evenings.

Governor’s Camp

Governors Camp is the Masai Mara’s first permanent tented camp, and has remained in its original location since 1972. Enjoying spectacular year-round game viewing, Governors is also unpretentious while offering a wonderful level of luxury. Enjoy private river views from your tent which has its own private veranda and en-suite bathroom. The main area has a bar and dining area overlooking the landscape beyond.
