The Laikipia plateau, which sprawls between the slopes of Mount Kenya in the south and the Great Rift Valley in the west, supports a staggering density of wildlife among its open savannah plains, woodlands, dramatic canyons and low forested valleys. It is also home to the Loisaba Conservancy, where your journey begins.
Explore Loisaba on day and night game drives, guided bush walks, mountain bike, horseback or on a camel safari. With Mount Kenya as its backdrop, Loisaba wild landscapes are home to diverse wildlife including the lesser-seen and rare northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, greater kudu, Jackson hartebeest, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the rare and special African wild dog. Naturally, there’s a healthy population of lion here too.
It must also be mentioned that the guides of Loisaba have achieved bronze and silver certificates from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association and have intimate knowledge of the wildlife and the culture of the area.
