2 nights in Nyungwe Forest
Today you’ll depart Kigali via a private road transfer to Kigali Airport where you’ll enjoy a short, scheduled charter flight to Nyungwe. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and enjoy a 45-minute drive through to Nyungwe Forest. This spectacular natural wilderness is situated in southwestern Rwanda and is home to a variety of chimpanzees and monkeys, including the owl-faced and colobus monkeys.
Once here you’ll experience some thrilling wilderness activities, including a 3-hour Canopy Walkway tour, which is part of the Igishigishigi Trail and is a high suspension bridge with beautiful forest and valley views. You’ll also enjoy both a chimpanzee and colobus monkey trek in the Nyungwe Forest, which are truly unforgettable experiences.

Tick gorilla trekking off your bucket list today, as you head into the forest on a guided trek. This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a number of hours as your trackers make their way to the gorillas’ most recent location. Spend time with these gentle giants as they eat, sleep and play.

Trekking can take anywhere between 1hr and 6 hrs, and depending on the gorilla families allocated, the trail heads my be anywhere between 20 minutes to approximately 20 hours’drive from the park headquarters.
