Centuries-old shipwrecks, ancient rock engravings, and the world’s tallest dunes are some of the highlights you’ll experience. You may even be lucky enough to come across the desert-dwelling elephant or rare black rhino.
To end your journey in style and comfort, you’ll spend three nights in Sossusvlei at Little Kulala. A luxury oasis in the desert, Little Kulala invites you to slow down and breathe it all in.

WHERE YOU'LL STAY
The Olive Exclusive All-Suite Hotel
An intimate boutique hotel in a tranquil corner of Windhoek, The Olive Exclusive All-Suite Hotel combines a cool, contemporary and stylish atmosphere with a warm heart and authentic African soul.
1 night in Huab River Valley, Skeleton Coast
Few Namibia attractions are as evocative as the Skeleton Coast, named after the many ships that ran aground here over the centuries.
On a low-level scenic flight, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the haunting shores and the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck.
You’ll continue east over the desert to land at the Kuidas camp in the Huab River Valley, where you will stay for the night.
Cheerful and nourishing communal meals are served in the camp’s mess area. Be sure to ask for a glass of wine as the collection here, while small, is excellent.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Located on Skeleton Coast, in the Huab River Valley, on a rocky bluff overlooking the sparse and intensely beautifully moon-like landscape of Damaraland, environmentally conscious Kuidas Camp is constructed from local woods and reeds. The communal area is serviced by a bush bar, and evenings are spent around a campfire.
1 night in Purros, Skeleton Coast
After breakfast, depart by Land Rover to explore the colourful red lava and yellow sandstone of the Huab River before flying to Terrace Bay in the Skeleton Coast Park, seeking out the Montrose and Henrietta shipwrecks.
Following a thrilling Land Rover dune driving experience, you’ll visit the beach with its profusion of multicoloured pebbles. Interesting to see are old bleached whale bones scattered along the beach above the high tide mark.
The kitchen prepares communal wholesome food with fresh ingredients and the camp has a good stock of imported wines.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Purros is deep in the Kaokoland wilderness. The camp is built on the edge of the dry Hoarusib River and shaded by beautiful acacia trees. Accommodation treads lightly on the delicate ecosystem with reed huts housing dome tents
1 night in Kunene
A scenic drive along the Hoarusib Valley will take you to visit a settlement of the nomadic Himba people. Enroute, you may even be lucky enough to come across the desert-dwelling elephant who frequent this valley.
Your journey continues north along the Skeleton Coast by aircraft to the Kunene River, to arrive at your accommodation in the late afternoon.
While you’re up in the air, keep your eyes on the shore to see the Kaiu Maru shipwreck and pieces from old sailing vessels scattered along the coastline.
Tuck into nourishing meals at the camp mess area with its open-sided dining and seating area, bush bar and veranda.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Dramatically situated on a set of enormous boulders, Kunene Camp on the banks of the Kunene River offers up a stark contrast between desert and river. Behind the camp lies rock, gravel plains and sand dunes, while in front and below is an oasis of green.
2 nights in Swakopmund
The charming coastal town of Swakopmund on Namibia’s western coast is an ideal place to relax after a few days in the desert.
Wash off the sand and sample some of the finely-brewed local beer and ocean-fresh seafood, including fish, lobster and oysters.
If it’s adventure you’re after, take flight in a hot air balloon, or go sand boarding, fishing or sightseeing in and around Swakopmund.
Visit Walvis Bay for a memorable cruise to see Cape fur seals, dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and a wide variety of other seabirds.
After a fun-filled day, relax at the Strand Hotel or take advantage of the elegant in-house Atlantic Spa.
The Strand Hotel offers guests three exciting restaurants, bars and sea facing terraces as well as a lobby lounge, beer garden and beach kiosk.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean, the magnificent Strand Hotel is situated on the iconic and historic Swakopmund Mole. This is the perfect venue from which to explore, experience and enjoy all on offer in Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and along this exciting and very unique Southern Atlantic coastline and the neighbouring Namib Desert.
3 nights in Sossusvlei
From Swakopmund, you will fly to Sossusvlei in the heart of the enormous Namib-Naukluft Park.
A highlight of any trip to Namibia, Sossusvlei is a place of awe-inspiring beauty. Here, you will be left spellbound by the magnificent ochre-coloured sand dunes, which rise over 300m (985 feet) into the sky.
A scheduled hot air balloon flight offers a truly memorable desert experience as you soar above the magnificent dunes, with a Champagne breakfast to look forward to at the landing site.
From your luxury accommodation at Little Kulala, you can enjoy a range of desert adventures, including game viewing drives where you may encounter a variety of desert-adapted animals such as gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal.
Enjoy fine dining on the deck overlooking the desert or book a romantic private dining experience in the wine cellar.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
A welcome oasis situated along the dry Auab riverbed in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve, Little Kulala celebrates the splendour and solitude of the Namib Desert. Each climate-controlled villa features a private plunge pool and a rooftop Star Bed for romantic star gazing.
