Your Itinerary
1 night in Nairobi
Your sensational journey begins in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya and East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. Your home for the night is Giraffe Manor, the only place in the world where you can feed and photograph giraffe over your breakfast table, view them from your front door and watch them from your bedroom window!
If you’re keen on exploring your surroundings, venture out to the nearby museums, galleries, markets and shopping centres in bustling Nairobi. Visit the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum. Enjoy guided walks through the surrounding forests and learn about traditional uses of the varied flora, view some of the 180 bird species and perhaps meet a warthog or bushbuck.
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Expect a menu featuring traditional, yet modern meals such as Mount Kenya Smoked Trout pate, fillet of beef or watamu red snapper.

The next leg of your African journey takes you to the Laikipia region, which is considered the gateway to Kenya’s wild and scarcely populated northern frontier country. Here, you can expect an experience filled with the vibrant culture, wildlife and serenity of a landscape found at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
From your accommodation at Segera Retreat, you’re invited to connect with African nature in an authentic way on game drives, walks, camel rides, sleep-outs, visits to cultural villages and helicopter flights. You also have the opportunity to spend time with the resident staff of the Zeitz Foundation and learn more about the complexities (and successes) of conservation and community in this unique corner of Kenya.

3 nights in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Welcome to the Masai Mara, land of the legendary red-robed Maasai warriors and home to Africa’s illustrious Big 5. Considered by many to be Kenya’s best and most scenic game park, you have access to a wealth of activities: interpretive game drives, birdwatching, hot air ballooning, walking safaris, and cultural visits to neighbouring Maasai villages.
Then there’s the opportunity to enjoy a picnic on the crest of the Out of Africa kopje, the very same site where the romantic tale was filmed, and which is featured on the movie’s poster. Climb the hill to discover an old-world picnic scene: checked blanket, comfy cushions, safari canvas chairs, wicker picnic basket, sparkling wine on ice… and that view.
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Choose to dine on the deck of your tented suite, at the lodge, beside the pool, or in the shade of a lone tree surrounded by majestic scenery.
