From here you’ll head into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a natural caldera that teems with life, and then head into the Serengeti, where the vast open plains – home to herds of antelope, zebra and wildebeest, as well as big cats, elephant and buffalo – is where you’ll end your safari.

Your Itinerary
1 night in Arusha
Your Tanzania safari kicks off in the country’s largest coffee plantation, close to Arusha on the slopes of Mount Meru. A game drive in Mount Meru National Park, accompanied by a delicious picnic lunch, makes for a wonderful outing.
Take a stroll through the plantation on a “Bean to Cup” Coffee Estate Tour, or ask your hosts about excursions to the historical museum, Mount Meru and the foot of Kilimanjaro.
You can also choose to spend the afternoon at Cultural Heritage, which specialises in African crafts, carvings, gemstones and clothing.
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy scrumptious meals in the Coffee Lodge lounge or sip on your favourite drinks in the bar area.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Arusha Coffee Lodge
Arusha Coffee Lodge, surrounded by the endless acres of berry-laden coffee bushes of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, is a classic plantation house, with modern airy interiors and situated in tranquil gardens. Enjoy time at the spa, by the pool or simply relax with a walk.
2 nights in Tarangire National Park
You will spend your next two days exploring the South-Eastern part of the spectacular Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is slightly off the main safari circuit and thus provides a wonderful, uncrowded experience. It is considered one of the most scenic parks in Northern Tanzania, with diverse landscapes including African savannah, open woodlands, grassy green hills and rivers.
Tarangire is well known for its high density of elephants, striking baobab trees and tree-climbing lions – a particularly unusual sight in most parks!
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy fireside communal meals in the dining room, whiskies around the campfire and safari tales told into the evening.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Olivers Camp
The 10 en–suite tents overlooking a floodplain are decorated in earthy tones to mirror the landscape. Your private deck is the perfect place to sit with a cold drink and enjoy the stillness and serenity of the African bush.
3 nights in Ngorongoro Crater
From Tarangire, you’ll depart by transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Uncover a verdant paradise on the forested outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, with expansive views of the Great Rift Valley.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest natural calderas in the world, and it is rich in animal and birdlife; indeed, it provides one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa.
Enjoy a full day crater tour as well as a guided nature walk, taking in the flamingo-filled salt lakes, lazy rhino at the edges, large, tusked elephants and rangy lions looking for their next meal.
Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where lions hunt for their next meal.
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Enjoy afternoon tea in the garden with a delicious assortment of coffees, teas, fresh cream, and scones. In the evening, share stories over candle-lit dinners featuring English and Tanzanian-influenced cuisine.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
Gibb’s Farm
Gibb’s Farm is a charming lodge that has retained the atmosphere of a working farm and is located between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Conservation area. Gibbs Farm is a real slice of old Africa, a genuine colonial farmhouse. Gibbs Farm is for people who are coming on safari to see Africa, not just to see animals.
3 nights in Serengeti National Park
From the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll head into the Serengeti National Park by scheduled flight. This is the prime location to witness thousands of wildebeest crash across the Mara River as part of their annual Great Migration.
The northern Serengeti is one of the most popular safari destinations in Africa, and for good reason. This is where the world-famous river crossings take place, as huge herds of migrating wildebeest head into Kenya, crossing the Mara River as one of the most dangerous parts of their journey, with crocodiles and hippos in the water and lions and other predators waiting on the river banks.
As the Mara River is just a few minutes from camp, guests can see all the action right from the camp doorstep.
DINING SUGGESTIONS
Join us for a drink at the Serengeti’s first solar-powered microbrewery, then enjoy a sumptuous fire-side dinner.
WHERE YOU'LL STAY
